Members of the television fraternity gathered at producers Benaifer and Sanjay Kohli’s residence on Wednesday afternoon for a special cause. The couple’s daughter, Chayn Kohli, had organised a small gathering in the memory of our brave soldiers, who lost their lives in the
Pulwama terror attack in February.
Bravehearts Nitin Rathod and Sanjay Rajput’s (both from
Maharashtra) families were invited to the Kohli residence, where they were felicitated.
Benaifer Kohli says, “My daughter Chayn thought of this. When she contacted actors like Shubhangi Atre, Rohitashv Gour, Rishina Kandhari and
Mrunal Jain, they were more than willing to be a part of it. The other major contributors were
Ekta Kapoor, BP Singh, Rupali Guha and Saumya Tandon. The families of the jawans were touched.”
Shubhangi, who is popular as Angoori bhabhi from Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, shares, “We can never replace what they have lost, but we can give them love and support. These soldiers have sacrificed their lives for our country, and it’s our duty to help their children fulfil their dreams.”
Her co-actor Rohitashv Gour adds, “I am grateful to be a part of this cause. It is causes like these that help you understand your purpose as a human being.”
