Actor Gaurav Chopraa and wife Hitisha have become proud parents of a baby boy. Hitisha gave birth at a private nursing home in her hometown, Bengaluru. Gaurav was in the news recently after having suffered a double setback – he lost both his parents to COVID-19 in a span of just 10 days. The birth of his son has come as a blessing. Talking to BT, Gaurav said, “The last few months have been extremely tough for my family and me. But becoming a father feels like divine intervention from God. Just when you have seen both your parents pass away and have gone through a tumultuous journey, to see another life come to your home, makes you feel so blessed. I have been in Bengaluru for the past few days. The baby was due after a few days, but Hitisha delivered the baby today. Both of them are healthy and doing well. I can only thank God for this blessing.”

TV actress Shikha Singh and her pilot husband Karan Shah are now parents to a baby girl. Their little one was born yesterday morning (June 16). In an interaction with BT, Shikha shared, “We are naming her Alayna Singh Shah. During our trip to the Maldives in February, we had decided that if we have a daughter, this would be her name. This was the first name we both agreed upon, and after that, throughout the pregnancy, we called our baby, ‘Al’.” Talking about the COVID-19 situation, she shares, “Karan and I had taken all the precautions we could throughout our pregnancy. We wore masks constantly, sanitised ourselves and did all household chores. God has been kind as everything went smooth. The baby has arrived and we are both fine. The hospital is also taking very good care. They are meticulous and sanitising the area very well. But it is a different feeling to see everyone around in PPE kits. There are no visitors allowed. My husband Karan is staying with us and taking care of us."

Television actor Ekta Kaul and husband Sumeet Vyas have finally embraced parenthood amid this nationwide lockdown. The couple became parents to a baby boy on June 4, and announced this good news on social media. Sumeet shared the news on his Instagram account and also revealed the name of their little permanent member. Ekta and Sumeet have named him 'Ved' and wrote: "It's a boy. Shall be called Ved. Mamma and Daddy are acting cliche....smothering the child every few minutes." The newly-turned-parents are on the seventh heaven upon the arrival of their baby. Sharing the same, Ruslaan told us, "Due to the Covid-19 lockdown, I and Nirali were advised to leave the hospital unexpectedly on March 27. We were supposed to stay at the hospital for two more nights, but the authorities first asked us to change Nirali's room to a different floor.
