Parth Samthaan, who was booked for molestation under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code earlier this year, has now been booked under the stringent Protection of Children from Sexual Offen ces (POCSO) Act by the Bangur Nagar police.
The stringent sections of POCSO Act were ad ded against Samtha an after the 20-year old complainant in her second statement on Sunday claimed that he had also molested her four years ago, when she was 16 years old. Samthaan has acted in se veral Hindi television shows, including `Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan' and `Best Friends Forever?' The case was filed in March following a statement by the aspiring model, who claimed that Samthaan had demanded sexual favours from her. According to the police, the complainant who lives in Evershine Nagar, Malad (West), was acquainted with the accused.
