sees Uma taking a bath and is angry about him getting all ready for the suhaagraat. She thinks about the muhurat and a way to stop anything happening between them. She starts looking for something in her bag that can help stop the suhaagraat and finds sleeping pills which were once given to her by
Vansh
.

Masi sa enters the room and tells her about the muhurat time and that she shouldn't waste time at all. She hands over a glass of milk to Kanak and her hands start trembling. Masi sa warns her not to do anything wrong.
Kanak mixes sleeping pills inside the milk and thinks of asking for the papers of her shop first and then give him milk, so that she can elope with the papers later.
Payal thinks of the way she was married to the picture of Aditya and feels bad for herself. She is all teary eyed as she stares at the picture of Aditya.

As soon as Uma comes close to her, she yells at him to stop and says that she doesn't love him, which sends Uma in shock.
Kanak goes upstairs to Uma Shankar, who is about upset about what Kanak told her inside. Kanak talks to him and tells him that if he had been in her place, would he have been able to love her? She tells him that she ran away because of this, but
Uma Shankar asks her the reason behind returning. She said, she was afraid that he would have come looking for her.
She tells Uma that he is still a stranger for her.
