Top Gear's special episode on Bond and his mean machines

The association between James Bond and cars goes back a long way. Alongside the high-tech gadgets, the sexy and sassy girls and the conniving baddies, Bond’s stylish cars have always been one of the vital ingredients that have made the film franchise a big success.
This November, as the character of James Bond celebrates half a century of its existence in cinema,Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond also celebrates 50 years of Bond’s amazing history with the mean machine on wheels.
The special episode reveals the entertaining behind-the-scenes stories of the most iconic cars, including the GoldfingerAston Martin DB5 and the Lotus Esprit submarine car. Roger Moore, who played Bond from 1973 to 1985, takes viewers through the era of Bond’s greatest car stunts. Richard also gets in on the action with ‘Bond Car On a Budget’, building his own invisible car and Lotus submarine – on worryingly low funds. There’s also an exclusive report from the sets of the latest Bond film, Skyfall.
