This victory is priceless, says the winner of India's Got Talent - Abujhmad Mallakhamb Academy
Hailing from Chhattisgarh, the Abujhmad Academy proved that with hard work and determination, nothing is impossible. In the 10th season of India's Got Talent, the group won the trophy and blew everyone's mind with their mallakhamb acts using poles.
Soon after they were declared winners, we got in touch with the coach of the group, Manoj Prasad, who performs along with them. Talking about how they all are feeling right now, he said, "Our entire group was surprised when we won the trophy. You could see the expression on our faces. We are excited, this victory is priceless. Even our parents had tears in their eyes when they got to know about the win. It feels surreal that on such a big show, which has so many people watching, we performed and we won."
Now that they have won IGT, what do they plan to do next? "After this, we want to participate in America's Got Talent and win there as well. But the long-term goal is to have an institute, where we teach mallakhamb. There are many such students across India who don't get the opportunity to learn mallkhamb and we want to provide them with this facility. We also want to do shows all over India and across the globe and showcase our talent," said Manoj on behalf of the entire group.
Talking about what their strengths are which helped them win IGT, he shared, "We brought malkham as our talent on the show, but we weren't limited to it. We did variations of it with the poles which is also seen internationally. Our entire group has worked extremely hard to be where we are today. To prepare such difficult acts in just 2-3 days is next to impossible. But we made it happen. The amount of hardwork the entire team put in is what helped us win the show."
