There’s a lot inside me that needs an outlet: Rithvik Dhanjani

Currently battling fears on reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi, Rithvik Dhanjani says he’s now craving a different kind of challenge — one that pushes him into psychologically dark territory as an actor. “I’m hoping for something psychologically damaging, a character who’s really crazy. Something dark, disturbing, or completely unlike me in real life. There’s a lot inside me that probably needs an outlet,” he says.

For him, acting is one of the few spaces where he can safely unleash emotions he otherwise keeps in check. “I’ve learned to control my own demons through a lot of practice. But as an actor, the beauty is that you can let them out and feel no remorse because you’re doing it for the camera,” he says.



Having spent over a decade in the entertainment industry, Rithvik admits there have been moments when waiting for the right project tested his patience. But he has learned not to obsess over what’s next. “Earlier, it was always, ‘What next? What next?’ That keeps you on edge and stops you from enjoying what you’ve built. I’ve found peace with it now. I know there’s a beautiful plan,” he says.


Known for his infectious energy on screen and at public events, Rithvik also reveals that the enthusiasm isn’t always genuine. “There have been times when I’m not happy from within, but I still have to be fun and energetic because that’s part of my job. Sometimes the mantra is simply: fake it till you make it,” he shares.
