Theatre is my first love: Delnaaz Irani

Actor Delnaaz Irani has acted in several comic roles in Bollywood movies and TV soaps.
She has had one major blockbuster with Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003) and worked on several big projects. She has also done reality shows like Zara Nachke Dikha, Hans Baliye, Comedy Circus and Baazi Mehmaan Nawazi Ki. She has done prominent shows like Yes Boss, Batliwala House no 43, Karam Apna Apna, Shararat and Kya Hua Tera Waada.
Her latest play See No Evil, Hear no evil, Speak No Evil and Do No evil has recently premiered and it has been getting a lot of appreciation. She is seen as Tanya Singhania who has grey shades.
She says, “People were surprised to see me playing a realistic gray character because of rivalry with sister. Whosoever saw the play is very impressed."
On being asked how she juggles between theatre and TV soap Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara she says, “Theatre is my first love. There is no substitute of live audiences. TV has big reach. Bigg Boss made me reach to new audiences. Where ever I go people come forward and tell me they want to see more of me on TV. I keep travelling with regards to play also. In the play my chemistry with Balvinder Singh Suri is appreciated a lot."
On being asked about the forthcoming Bigg boss she says, "I would love to visit Bigg Boss house as a guest for sure. Each year its different. With Salman as host it has a unique charm. Watching Bigg Boss has become a habit for audiences every year.”
