Rekha was seen taunting Kapil Sharma with a classic dialogue from Amitabh Bachchan's film. The renowned performer went on The Great Indian Kapil Show on Saturday night and discussed a variety of topics, including her age. She claimed to have learnt to dress up from her mother, and by following in her footsteps, she had reached the age of 70. Rekha then taunted the crowd by asking, "Did you hear properly? I said I was 17 years old." She then attempted to make the topic more serious by using a peculiar English word, leaving Kapil stunned.
"Jokes apart, that's my warped-up sense of humour," she remarked before asking Kapil whether he understood what she was saying. "Warped-up sense of humour, get it?" she enquired, to which he admitted he had no idea what the term meant. "You should have learnt English by now," Rekha chided Kapil after he mentioned that his English speaking skills have improved over the years.
"I have learnt a lot, ma'am but…" Kapil replied, before Rekha interrupted and continued, "I know, I know, you can talk English, you can walk English." She emphasised to Amitabh's dialogue in Namak Halaal. Kapil joked, "Your English is a bit expensive." Rekha gave an answer: "I'm also learning the expensive Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi."
Furthermore, when Kapil shared an anecdote about his mother's conversation with Amitabh Bachchan in KBC, he said, "Bachchan sahab asked my mother 'kya khake paida kiya hai' and she innocently said daal phulka'. Rekha also added 'Daal roti' before Kapil answered and said, 'Mujhse puchiye na, mujhe ek ek dialogue yaad hai.'
Rekha thoroughly enjoyed the episode. Krushna Abhishek and Sunil Grover dressed up as Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan for a unique performance that had Rekha in stitches. Kiku Sharda was dressed as Umrao Jaan during the same performance. Rekha also sang for the audience before taking centre stage to dance with Krushna, who appeared to be costumed as Amitabh Bachchan.
