The Great Indian Kapil Show: From Kapil Sharma talking about playing a femininecharacter in college days to Manisha Koirala saying romantic dialogues to a tape; cast of Heeramandi makes interesting revelations

In the recent episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show, the divas from Heeramandi, Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chaddha, Sharmin Sehgal and Sanjeeda Shaikh. While they had some fun, the team was also open about working with a maverick like Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Kapil Sharma was spotted mocking Manisha about how Bhansali thinks she's a lucky charm, and he even asked if he might invite the actor when he buys land. Later, Kapil remarked that Sonakshi's role in Heermandi is similar to Archana Puran Singh's role on his show.

Kapil asked the divas whether they take time to get out of their characters especially when they are performing for such a long series. Sanjeeda said, "It happened to me. Waheeda stayed with me, also the way we have been speaking for around 1.5, 2 years. With every character, you have a part of you. My Urdu became better with the show."

Kapil shared how he had done a play in college days and couldn't come out of that character for quite some time, "I had done a play, known as Brihanalla, the story is about, Arjun ko jab shraap milta hai, woh apsara ko teer mar dete hai. So Arjun had to live like a female for 12 years in a male's body. So I rehearsed for it for 6 months wearing a ghaghra. So I had actually adapted to walking like that. In Amritsar, there is a lot of fog so once two boys followed me thinking I was a girl."

Kapil further remarked, "At times on TV, while shooting for romantic scenes, you aren't doing it with the person but a random mark." To which Manisha said, "In films as well, we have to tell the most romantic lines to a tape and not the hero." Kapil added, "True, you are all romantic and mouthing those lines to thermocol wale dada. It does get difficult for an artist to do such scenes with the same emotions in that case."

Kapil further jokes, "Archana ji, you had done a romantic film with Naseeruddin Shah." Archana Puran Singh stopped him, 'soch samajh se sawaal karna.' Manisha added, 'Yes, she had done Jalwa with him.' Kapil added, "So when you did the film, he carried you in the film and after that, he left doing romantic films completely."

Sonakshi shared that history was created on the sets because of her song Tilasmi Bahein, she said, “My song that we shot, we rehearsed for it and that was added later. I had learned every step and went on set. We shot what we had rehearsed for 3 hours. But at 3 pm, he said it was not working for him, let us change it, and then he made a piece and decided on set that he would shoot the song in just one take. We did that and history was created on a Sanjay Leela Bhansali set because we completed that song in 4 minutes.”
