'! was in the city sometime back to promote his new show 'Happu Singh Ki Ultan Paltan
'. Not new to Lucknow, this UP boy from Jhansi has done several plays in the city. "Bahot khushi hoti hai Lucknow wapis aake. Jin galiyon mein cycle chala-chala ke ghume hai din raat, plays ki rehearsal kari hai, aaj yahan press conference mein journalists ke beech mein baith ke bahot khushi ho rahi hai. Shayad isi ke liye mehnat ki thi," shared a nostalgic Yogesh.Ask him how Lucknow has changed over the years and he says, "Bahot badal gaya hai Lucknow! The city has changed a lot but in a good way. When I was in Lucknow, some 15 years back, there used to be only single-screen theatres to watch films. I am a movie buff, so after rehearsing for plays till the evening, I used to watch the 9 to 12 shows. The days spent in Lucknow were the best days of my life. I used to live near Lekhraj market, so khoob bhaag-bhaag ke movies dekhi hai and theatre kiya hai."

"Everybody has to struggle in this industry chahe fir aap male ho ya female, and so did I. But yes things become better if you come mentally prepared tp stay put for long. I toh was mentally prepared ki main toh lambi race daudunga yahan pe. Struggle karke fame mile toh uska mazaaa hi alag hai. I am now enjoying every bit of the fame I have received so far."
Hailing from a family where everybody is a teacher, it was tough for Yogesh to convince his family to let him act. “To convince my family of teachers was a difficult task. Doctor aur engineer banne ke liye paise har parents de denge but acting ke liye they say yeh kya kar rahe ho natak-nautanki. But once I started to do plays in Lucknow they accepted the fact that I want to be an actor” he says.
