The culture, local delicacies and cold weather... what a trip it was, says Abhishek Kapur who was in Jaisalmer

TV actor Abhishek Kapur, last seen in the show Kundali Bhagya, was recently in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer to attend a wedding. Shares Abhishek, “I have visited Rajasthan before but I got a chance to explore only Jaipur and Udaipur then. This time, I travelled to Jaisalmer and explored the desert. I came for a wedding and had loads of fun with friends and everyone else. I made some new friends as well. It was a much-needed short break from my hectic life. All in all it was awesome and I'll never forget these days.”

Coming from Mumbai, where the weather is warm and humid, Abhishek enjoyed the cold weather and beauty of sand dunes. “I love the temperature shifts that take place from hot in the day to cold at night. It’s especially felt around the dunes and it's a different experience. The culture, warmth and hospitality of the people are also commendable and how can I miss the beautiful architecture and heritage sites, they were so amazing.”

This was not completed without relishing the delicacies and the actor tried some local delicacies as well. “Of course. I tried to taste every possible food item that I could in the three days that I was there. I loved bajre ki roti with spicy lehsun ki chutney. I feel that a place tells a million stories through the local food and that is the best experience to take home," he shares.
