Thapki does a Jassi in her TV show

Jigyasa Singh, who is popular as Thapki in 'Thapki Pyaar Ki', will soon undergo a makeover in the TV show. Currently seen as a salwar kameez-clad bahu, she will sport a bespectacled look à la Jassi (Mona Singh in 'Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahi' with braces making way for buck-tooth. Says a source associated with the daily soap, “The show is taking a time leap of two years. We needed to introduce a new element to spruce up the drama. While Thapki’s family will assume her to be dead, she will return in a new avatar.” Jigyasa adds, “The look may be similar to that of Jassi, but the motive behind the makeover is different. I am glad that I am getting to do something that is so close to an iconic character.” Ask her if it’s difficult to mouth her dialogues with fake buck-tooth and she replies, “It was difficult to stammer too in the beginning. I will get used to this as well.”
