Tassnim Sheikh: I am glad to have bagged a role in ‘Anupamaa’

Tassnim Sheikh is all set to make a comeback on television screens after a break of one-and-a-half years. The actress will be seen in Rajan Shahi’s new show ‘

Anupamaa

’, where she will be seen playing mother to a young girl.

Talking about resuming work, Tassnim said, “I have always wanted to work with Rajan Shahi and am glad to have bagged a role in ‘Anupamaa’. I heard that his production house is taking adequate precautions amid the COVID-19 pandemic. I am slightly apprehensive about shooting in such a situation, but will take all the required precautionary measures. When you get a good opportunity, you have to work and can't say no."

The actress has no qualms in playing a mother to a teenager on the show. She said, "I am a mother of an 11-year old in real life, so I have no problem to play mother on a TV show. I always like to play characters that are strong and make a difference to the show. Daily soap is one genre I relate to very well. It’s my forte. I have done a few shows earlier, so I know how the story moves and how I will lift a character."
