Tanya Mittal's stylist for Bigg Boss 19, Riddhima Sharma gives a befitting reply to trolls: My work will always speak louder than words
Actor and celebrity stylist Riddhima Sharma recently made headlines after speaking out about the non-payment issue she faced for styling Bigg Boss 19 contestant Tanya Mittal. Her styling was appreciated by the then-contestants of the show and even Tanya's fans and admirers. However, the same people who commended Riddhima's work stood against her when she raised concern over payment. To silence the haters and trolls once and for all, Riddhima shared a well-deserved video talking about her work as a stylist and actor and also as an author. She feels that trolling has become very common these days and believes in focusing on her work over people's words.
Sharing her thoughts on the negative comments and online hate she faced recently, she said, "Trolling has become quite common when you are in the public eye, and I truly respect that everyone has their own opinion. My personal mantra is to believe in myself. I don’t allow negativity to affect me because I believe in honesty, silence, and hard work. I strongly feel that my work will always speak louder than words."
"Trolls don’t bother me at all, I don’t even read negative comments. Sometimes my friends or relatives call to tell me about them, and I politely ask them not to, because I genuinely don’t care. My family and close friends know who I truly am, and that is enough for me," she added.
And though she believes in staying away from the negativity, she feels that sometimes it's important to put the facts across. She said, "I believe that my journey, values, and work speak for themselves. On a few occasions, if there has been a misunderstanding, I have chosen to clarify facts, not to engage in negativity, but to maintain transparency and self-respect. That decision is always guided by dignity and purpose, never by emotion. I don’t respond to prove anything to anyone; I respond only when clarity is necessary. Otherwise, I choose silence, growth, and grace."
Riddhima believes in maintaining mental peace and it is the most important thing for her. She said, "I have been practicing meditation since the 10th standard. It has helped me maintain balance, clarity, and inner peace. Most importantly, my family is incredibly supportive, especially during times of trolling. They surround me with positivity and happiness. From family dinners, small celebrations, or simply being there for me, my family is always by my side."
She added, "Due to this strong support system, negativity on social media never affects me. I trust the universe, stay grounded, and focus on what truly matters in life," she added.
As a celebrity, she understands that there is constant pressure to defend herself online; however, she believes not every opinion or narrative deserves a response. She said, "Living under constant pressure to justify oneself can be exhausting, so I choose to navigate it with clarity and balance."
"I stay focused on my work, values, and inner peace rather than external noise. Clear boundaries, self-belief, and a strong support system help me handle that pressure gracefully. For me, growth and authenticity matter more than constant explanations," Riddhima ended.
