Tanusree in a telly series

She is playing the lead role, Ratri in Jisshu Dasgupta’s megaserial, Utsaver Ratri. “I have been getting acting offers for a long time now, but none of them were meaty enough for me to say ‘yes’.But this time round, I couldn’t say no. The script of Utsaver Ratri is very interesting and my role is really challenging. I am cast opposite Saheb. I wouldn’t like to divulge much about the character, except that Ratri’s character is extremely positive and I am happy with this offer,” quips Tanusree.
When asked her why she choose small screen over big screen, she replied, “I want to brush up my acting skills before heading for the big screen. One can learn so much while doing serials and I want to be armed with the right ammunition first. I want to be a good actor and I want the directors to cast me after judging my acting skills and not my looks.”
