Tanmay Vekaria who plays the character of Bagha in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah remembers his best friend and co-actor Ghanashyam Nayak on his birth anniversary. The actor penned a heartfelt note remembering him and called him his best friend in the post. Tanmay posted a nostalgic picture of them when they hosted a New Year's Eve.
In the post, he wrote, "Remembering my best buddy and one of the finest co-actors I have ever worked with, today is his 77th bday, though he is not among us, but somewhere deep in our hearts, he is still alive, happy birthday Ghanshyam bhai our highly loved NATU KAKA miss u always n forever."
Ghanashyam Nayak AKA Nattu Kaka of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah died of cancer on October 3, 2021. The actor was being treated for cancer. He was diagnosed with the same condition in April of this year after noticing some spots on his neck. He was diagnosed with cancer following a scan, and he began treatment. The actor had stated at the time that he was OK and would begin shooting soon.
The actor's friend Abhilash Ghoda exclusively revealed his last wish with ETimes TV, he said that Ghanashyam wanted to die with his make-up on and work till his last breath. He had expressed his wish after returning from Daman when he joined the Taarak Mehta team for a shoot. He shared on the call, "God has been kind to me. The episode has turned out well and has been appreciated."
Ghanashyam Nayak was best known for playing the character of Natwarlal Prabhashankar Undhaiwala AKA Nattu Kaka in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He had also worked in over 100 Gujarati and Hindi films and around 350 Hindi television serials.
