Sumona Chakravarti: I enjoy my freedom too much to get married

insists that she is single, dispelling rumours of her impending marriage with actor Samrat Mukherjee (Kajol and Rani Mukerji’s cousin), who is 11 years her senior.

Says Sumona, “I was holidaying in Dubai as my best friend Tarana Raja lives there. The news spread so fast that I started getting calls in Dubai and I had to explain even to Tarana that there was no marriage on the cards!” Ask the actress if she is dating Samrat and she says, “No. Where is the time to date or hang out with him? He is busy making films in Kolkata and I meet him only for five days during Durga Puja in Mumbai. He is a family friend and that’s it. We don’t meet or talk to each other often.”

Meanwhile, the actress, who will anchor the opening episode of the travel show 'Dubai Diaries', says, “I enjoy my freedom too much to get married. There is no marriage happening — not now or in future.”
