TV actor
Sumit Kaul admits that it is easy to get typecast when you agree to play a father on a TV show. Referring to his role in 'Nazar', Sumit says, "When I was offered this show, there were two things that I was not sure of. One of that was to play a father to an 18-20-year-old girl . I wasn’t sure if I should do that as there’s a chance of being typecast as people will not me not see me as a lead actor then."
The actor has also been sceptical about working in the supernatural genre.
He says, “This supernatural genre on TV shows is not realistic. It’s fantasy-based and therefore, it doesn’t work on logical grounds. And that can get difficult for an actor sometimes, if you’re not convinced about being able to portray that with your character. Having said that, both my fears were taken care of by the director and the writers.”
