���I will always remember this one trip I did with the Backpackers club all across Europe with a bunch of my girlfriends and cross country cycling tour across Thailand.It was such good adventure.���
Which destinations have remained a favourite with you?
Boracay Island in Phillipines, Kenya, Kalpa and Kaza (beyond Sangla valley) and Ramgarh.
Have you had any out-of-this-world explorations?
As my husband Kabir says... ���Only boring people experience the mundane���. I have always been a wide eyed wanderer and treasure even the simplest moments while travelling which could just be the taste of a hot pepperoni pizza on a quiet street. But once, during a wildlife safari in Lake Nakuru, Kenya.. a leopard that was being released from captivity in front of our eyes.. did a turn around, jumped into our van and killed our gamekeeper. We were a breath closer and could have lost our lives that day in the most freakish way. Also whenever I go SCUBA diving, I feel like I am nothing but a drop in the universe.. the magnificence of the ocean is spell binding, mind numbing and the colour palette under the sea makes the world above look colourless to me.
Tips for a solo woman traveller
Never drink more than you can handle with ease. Never look like you���re lost.. even if you are. Always dress a tad conservative unless the environment permits otherwise. Always wear a band on your ring finger even if you are not married. It helps ward a lot of unwanted blokes and can easily be slipped off when great eye candy is in sight!!
If you���d have a week to yourself, all free and ready to go. Which place would you choose to visit and why?
Aah.. there are so many places id love to visit for the first time like Israel, Cambodia, New Zealand and Japan. But I think I���d end up in a diving location yet again.. I am a sucker for the sun, surf and seafood.
In your bag, what all do you plan and pack up before you set foot on a destination?
It really depends on where im headed but generically put, besides the obvious clothes shoes and toiletries, I carry essentials medicines, sunscreen, sunglasses, books, chargers and adapters, and always some green chillies when heading West !!
