Splitsvilla X6's first Sikh contestant Chakshdeep Singh; says 'I carry my roots with pride wherever I go'
Chakshdeep Singh, who is seen in the latest season of Splitsvilla X6, is the first Sikh contestant to walk into the show. He’s a proud Punjabi Sikh, raised between Ghaziabad and Punjab. The reality show contestant spoke about his journey and expressed his happiness at being the first Sikh contestant on the show.
Chakshdeep said, “I grew up in a Punjabi Sikh family, and my parents always told me to stand tall, stay honest, and treat people with respect, especially when it comes to relationships and emotions. Being the first Sikh on the show isn’t just a title for me. I feel a real responsibility to represent my roots with honesty and grace."
He talks about growing up in Ghaziabad but staying close to his Punjab roots. “That’s what shaped me. It taught me discipline, humility, and how to keep my feet on the ground, even when things get tough or competitive. My values are my biggest strengths inside the Splitsvilla villa."
About the experience so far, he admits, “I’m excited, nervous, and grateful - all at once. Every challenge, every conversation, it’s all helping me learn more about myself. I am not treating Splitsvilla like just another reality show. For me, this is a chance to grow."
“If people see even one moment where I was honest and real, that’s enough for me,” he says.
Splitsvilla X6 is hosted by Bollywood diva Sunny Leone and Karan Kundrra. This season is considered to be the most brutal and has a brand-new theme with fun segments and dramatic moments. The theme of the 16th season is based on the concept Pyaar vs Paisa, with the contestants divided into Pyaar Villa and Paisa Villa. As per the first two episodes, while the Pyaar Villa will be hosted by Karan Kundrra and Sunny Leone, the Paisa Villa will be ruled by Uorfi Javed and Nia Sharma.
