Television actor Rituraj Singh passed away today (Feb 20) due to cardiac arrest at the age of 59. His sudden demise has left everyone in a deep state of shock and many of his industry friends and co-stars are mourning his demise and actress Sonya Saamoor is one of them. Sonya walked down memory lane and recalled some heartfelt moments with the late star.

Sonya who worked with Rituraj in Hey Prabhu 2, says,”I wasn’t able to fathom the news of Ritu Sir’s passing, when I saw it on social media. I remember Ritu Sir would walk in to set a lot of positivity. He was super friendly, humble and very down-to-earth. He always had the nicest things to say about your performance. If he was sitting behind the monitor, truly a humble soul, it’s heartbreaking that he’s no longer with us.”

She lastly says, "My heart goes out for his family and I can't stop thinking about the pain and grief they must be going through. Life is unpredictable, but Ritu sir lives on through his art."

Rituraj is survived by his wife and two children, his wife Charu Singh has been a part of his theatre journey while his son Adhiraj and daughter Jahaan are young. The actor shared a tight bond with all his co-stars and they have come out and expressed grief over his sudden demise. Rituraj's theatre co-stars Deepika Amin, Divya Seth and others also penned heartfelt notes for the late actor and shared some intriguing anecdotes from their good old theatre days.




Earlier, Sonya spoke about her web show, she also got candid about the intimate scenes and uncomfortable outfits that she wore for the character in the show.
