's popular show 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai', considers Shashank Bali the director of the show as his mentor. Sohit who hails from Faridabad had a long struggle before he got a foothold in Mumbai. During his initial years of struggling Sohit only came to Mumbai when he had any events for anchoring. During one of the events held on Shashank Bali's housing society, he met Shashank's friend Raj Tewari. "I met

Raj Tewari

who had called me for the event. He is also a friend of Shahsank Sir. He gave me Shashank Sir's contact number and asked me to call him. After that I got my first show 'Tu Mera Hero'. After completion of my work I had called

Shashank Sir

and in my first conversation with him I realised that he is special. I got a lot of positivity from him. Later on when he called me one day and asked me to act out a scene, I showed him some mimicry and he liked it. Then later on he called me and gave me the character of news reader in 'Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai'. Gradually I have started getting various roles in the show."

Speaking more on Shashank Bali, Sohit adds,"Shashank Sir's eyes are like a camera. He discovers the talent in an artist and tries to use his potential. He is my mentor. Whatever I am today is only because of him. Last year on my birthday, Shashank Sir arranged a special cake for me and also wrote a nice scene for me in the show 'Bhabhiji' which I will never forget for the rest of my life."
