Smiley’s theatre debut

Smiley Suri is now set to dabble in theatre with Paritosh Painter's Double Trouble.
Though she has been on stage earlier, her performances were restricted to just dance numbers. Interestingly, it’s also been 10 years since she made her debut in films with Kalyug. “Having done films, TV and dance, I wanted to do something different, so I chose to do theatre.It’s truly an actor’s medium,” she says.

Smiley is attempting comedy for the first time with this play. She says, “Preeto is an innocent, funny and a loud punjabi girl. I’ve discovered my sense of humour with this role. And I also feel accepted as part of the performing arts.”
