Dipika Chiklia, who played the role of Sita in
Ramanand Sagar’s famous mythological show Ramayan, spoke about Adipurush made on
Ramayan by Om Raut starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon. Dipika, who is still remembered for her role as Sita Maa, stated that no one should remake Ramayan as it would create controversy.
Dipika made a video on her Instagram and revealed that she had been thinking about making this video but then again it might create controversy.
Dipika further added “Namashkar, For a long time I have been thinking about making this video but then I thought I shouldn’t talk about it. I would not like to comment on the film Adipurush or give any tips as I have not even watched the film yet. However, I will talk about the future and every now and then in the years, there is a new Ramayan made either in films or serials. For us Indians, Ramayan is our ‘Dharohar’ and that's why I feel that we should stop making Ramayan anymore. Every time when it's remade, there is some controversy over it. Instead of that, we can teach Ramayan in schools and institutions because it might give a new direction and mindful learning for the new generation. That is all I would like to say as I am not trying to point out at anyone.”

Further Dipika also shared a caption for the video saying, “Not wanting to hurt any one but I felt need to speak … let’s respect and protect our faith Ramayan is to be revered not a source for entertainment.”
In the Ramayan serial,
Arun Govil played Lord Ram, Sunil Lahri played Lakshman and Dipika Chiklia played Sita, while veteran actors Dara Singh and Arvind Trivedi played Hanuman and Ravana, respectively.
