Porus

, a king of the Pauravas in ancient India. The show will telecast on

Sony Entertainment Television

, which also aired his production debut '

Amber Dhara

' as well as his last mythological show 'Suryapatra Karn'.
According to historical sources, Porus fought against Alexander the Great in the battle of the Hydaspes and turned out to be the biggest obstacle in the mighty emperor’s way on his quest to conquer the Indian subcontinent. Although Porus could not defeat Alexander, he was the first one to offer real resistance to the Greek King. Informs a source closely associated with the new show, "Siddharth is famous for his great production values and quality, and this show will be no different. This will be Sony Entertainment Television's next big ticket show. Since the project is particularly close to Siddharth's heart, he is leaving no stone unturned to make it as grand as possible."
