Shubhangi Atre in talks for ‘Nach Baliye’, Kamya Panjabi declines the offer

The stage is set for the 10th season of the celebrity-couple dance reality show, ‘Nach Baliye’. While it was earlier reported that Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu, filmmaker David Dhawan and choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant had been approached to be a part of the judging panel, we can now reveal names of some of the contestants, who are in talks with the makers to participate in the show.
We have learnt that Shubhangi Atre aka Angoori bhabhi from ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!’, and her husband, Piyush Poorey, have been approached by the production house.Talks have reached an advanced stage and the couple is reportedly keen on participating in the show.
Informs a source associated with the show’s creative team, “This time, we are looking for couples where one partner isn’t an actor. Shubhangi is a trained dancer and a popular face on the small screen. She will be ideal for the show. We are expecting her to sign on the dotted line soon.”

Kamya Panjabi and Shalabh Dang had also been approached for the dance reality show. However, the couple has turned down the offer. The actress, who tied the knot with Shalabh, a healthcare professional in February this year, confirms, “No, we aren’t taking it up. Shalabh is in the healthcare industry and is busy serving people and saving lives. He can’t leave Delhi and stay in Mumbai for three months for the show in these trying times.”

Another popular TV face, Mona Singh, who got married to Shyam Gopalan in December 2019, is also rumoured to have been approached. However, Mona refutes it and says, “Not at all.”
Attempts to reach Shubhangi for comment were in vain.
