Shradha defends saas-bahu dramas
Shradha says she would love to play a young bubbly character.
Be it her role as Ambika in Suno Har Dil Kuch Kehta Hai or now as Mohini in Saarthi. Both her shows have been saas-bahu dramas.
But the girl has no qualms about being part of family dramas because that’s what’s popular, she says. Of course she’d like to do different kinds of roles too.
“I’d love to play a young bubbly character,” she says. Shradha is amazed at how involved audiences can get with TV shows. Recently she met a group women at a multiplex and they started discussing her show Saarthi with her. “One of them told me she wants to thrash my mother in the show because she is mean to me!” laughs Shradha. Well no matter what people say saas-bahus continue to rule the roost.
