Shraddha Arya on her Kundali Bhagya journey: It has been nothing short of magical
Saying goodbye is never easy, especially when it means parting ways with a show that has been your creative home for seven-and-a-half years. Shraddha Arya, who became a household name as Preeta in Kundali Bhagya, recently spoke to us about shooting her last scene for the show, which is ending on December 6. The actress, who is expecting a baby soon, said, “It’s a whirlwind of emotions and I can’t put into words how I truly feel. In just a few months, I would have completed eight years with Kundali Bhagya. It feels like leaving home and stepping into the unknown, uncertain if you’ll ever return. This show is my baby. Despite some fans urging me to try something new, I never felt the need to leave.”
She shot her final scene last week, an emotional experience both on and off screen. She shared, “For some time now, I’ve been shooting from home, as long hours of travel aren’t advisable given my condition. So, my last day wasn’t on set with the entire team. Ironically, my final scene involved looking at old photos from the show, their edges burnt as part of the narrative. It was symbolic, like revisiting a lifetime of memories in a single moment. This journey has been nothing short of magical.”
When asked about the show ending on December 6, a news that surfaced shortly after she announced her exit on Instagram, she replied, “I found out about it ending just a few days ago, like everyone else. The news was as shocking and bewildering to me as it was to others. However, I’m confident that the makers and the channel have made a well-thought-out decision, so I prefer not to comment further.”
‘Motherhood is a whole new world’
Shraddha’s baby is due next month and she describes this phase as the beginning of a beautiful, endless chapter. “Motherhood is a whole new world, and I’m so excited to step into it. For now, my focus is entirely on this incredible journey. Work will always be there, and I will return to it in time. But this phase deserves all my energy and attention,” she said.
