Shivani Gosain: I want to break the typical limited image of a TV serial actor
Shivani Gosain, who is seen in Rangbaazi Dilon Ki, believes that entertainment should be passed on with responsibility. However, she feels it should evolve with time.
She said, "I think we should let our content and looks grow with the current time. It should be the right blend of entertainment with a mix of good social messages on current issues, gender equality, female safety, female growth, a broader mindset, a non-judgmental society for all, less hatred, more love and self-respect/self-esteem role models for the society and new generation, and rootedness in their culture and country and respect."
"If we could teach this through our work, it would be really good," she added.
Shivani feels that the industry is very uncertain and unpredictable and added, "We have to keep audience interest and current issues to keep them engaged."
Though she is not picky about her projects, she shared that as an actor she wants to do relatable shows. She said, "I truly want to act in sensible, close-to-reality, meaningful, strong, impactful shows. I want to play an IPS officer or a cop in a story based on them. I want to do shows based on freedom fighters and impactful roles in the web and movies."
She doesn't want to limit herself and said, "I want to break the typical limited image of a TV serial actor. I want to do reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and experience the adventure. I want to really explore and grow as a performer."
With her busy schedule, Shivani doesn't get much time to spend on TV. Asked what she does in the little time she gets, she said, "I spend time sometimes playing badminton or yoga, quality time with cats, and taking care of my home and plants. But when reality show season starts, I watch Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. I also watch a good movie or web series once in a while."
