Shiv Thakare: I like to be real on social media
Shiv Thakare, who rose to fame with Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi, says he looks at social media as an extension of his real life rather than a platform for competition.
“I like to be real on social media. I don’t feel the pressure because I have fun with what I share,” he says. “Sometimes I post my raw side, and sometimes it’s about my work. People connect with that, and I enjoy being around people.”
Over the years, Thakare has built a steady fan base and credits them for standing by him. “I am thankful that so many people who follow me have seen my journey and continue to see how I am polishing myself,” he shares.
For him, numbers are never the goal. “I don’t focus on how many people follow me, and I’m not competing with anyone else on social media.”
On the acting front, Thakare is gradually shaping a new path. “Since I was more known for reality shows, not many knew that I was interested in acting, but now they are aware. Things are moving in the right direction, and whenever I have time, I work on my craft. That also keeps me grounded as a human being,” he says.
