Actress
Ayesha Kapoor, who currently plays a parallel lead role in her television debut show Sherdil Shergill, revealed that with time
Diwali has become a special festival in her life.
"Since I come from a Muslim Family I don’t know the exact rituals for Diwali festival but since childhood it was quite fun and loving festival that we use to look forward to enjoy with our friends who followed the rituals.
I love the way festivities bring friends and family together and we all enjoy some love and brotherhood. I really love celebrating Diwali with my friends like we attend card night and enjoy the festival foods. I remember when during my academic years I always used to wait so that I would get the opportunity to wear traditional outfits and go for Diwali parties and we would burn crackers and it was so fun. At times I used to travel on diwali vacation," said Ayesha.
The actress, who started her career working with popular digital series like Pari, Fark and Vaishya, adds after she started earning she made it a ritual to buy something for herself on
Dhanteras, a popular day just before Diwali when people buy gold to bring good luck.
She adds, "I'm fond of gold jewellery and since the time I started earning I made it a ritual to buy a gold ornament for me and my family to mark the celebrations of Dhanteras. I respect and believe the fact that buying gold brings good luck to home. By God's grace this year I'm having some good savings, so I hope I could get something more for myself and I also plan to sponsor a needful child's education to just make sure good luck comes to others too along with me."
Ayesha will soon make Bollywood debut with the upcoming film Lovestreet.
