Shehnaaz Gill to Saloni Daini: TV actresses followed these strict diets for an impressive transformation

Not just Bollywood actors but television celebrities, also follow their diet in order to achieve a fit and healthy figure as it is the demand of their profession as well. Every day, television stars are in the public glare, whether on small screen or elsewhere. As a result, having a flawless physique is critical for them. To look nice, many TV celebrities adhere to a strict diet regime and exercise regularly. Here are some celebrities who adhere to stringent diet plans:

2/13

Shehnaaz Gill

Shehnaaz Gill had been picked up for her weight on Bigg Boss 13. She focused on her physical well-being after leaving Bigg Boss and shed 12 kg in six months. Shehnaaz had then told ETimes TV, “I went in for a simple reduction in my eating habits. You can say that I cut off on my non-vegetarian food, chocolates and ice cream, and nothing else. But besides that, let me explain how I ate because therein lies the catch. Everyday, I ate just one or two things. I wouldn't stuff too much variety in my daily consumption of food. For example, if I ate dal and moong for lunch, I would eat the same for dinner. And I reduced the portions. If I was hungry for two rotis, I ate only one. Mann maarke khati thi. And it started working. I was 67 kg around the time lockdown began in March, I am 55 kg now. Lost 12 kg in less than 6 months, but without doing any exercise. Just my restricted food consumption did the trick.”

3/13

Bharti Singh

When comedian-host Bharti Singh dropped weight, she left everyone dumbfounded; everyone was astounded by her weight loss. Bharti even spoke about her weight loss and revealed that she practices intermittent fasting (when a person goes without eating for more than 16 hours). Bharti's first meal is at 12 p.m., and her last meal is at 7 p.m. She eats everything during that time, from butter paratha to her favourite dinners, but nothing after 7 p.m. And now that her body has adjusted to intermittent fasting, she reports to have shed 16 kg in 10 months and that her midnight cravings are under control.

4/13

Hina Khan

Hina Khan is well-known for her fit and amazing physique, which she attained through hard effort and sacrifice. The actress starts her day with a glass of lukewarm lemon water to detox, and she eats a low-carbohydrate, high-protein diet. She consumes in small amounts, which aids her metabolism. Hina consumes lots of fruits and vegetables and has lovely skin.

5/13

Nia Sharma

Nia Sharma has one of the best bodies, and the actress says that she avoids fast food in favour of dal for lunch and an omelette with veggies for the night. Nia, like Bharti Singh, likes not to eat after 7 p.m., although she would make an exception if she is going to a party with friends.

6/13

Erica Fernandes

Erica Fernandes, the ever-fit model and actress, has always been acclaimed for her slender and fit physique. When asked what's her secret to having such a beautiful figure and physique, she stated that she doesn't eat rice or roti and has been gluten-free for some time.

7/13

Surbhi Chandna

Surbhi Chandna from Naagin is another actress who practices a rigorous eating regimen to stay in shape. She told TOI, “I used to eat bhakhri, rice, veggies, chicken and fish. I also consumed jowar bhakris. I kept away from junk food but I had my 'cheat' days when I used to go out and eat pav bhaji and pizza. The idea was to be physically active and run around a lot, eat-in small proportions then totally deprive yourself.”

8/13

Smriti Irani

Smriti Irani's profile photo a few years ago had astonished everyone, and her producer-friend Ekta Kapoor had applauded her diet while chastising her for not shedding any more weight. According to sources, Smriti followed a gluten-free and dairy-free diet.

9/13

Kashmera Shah

Kashmera Shah, who is 50, reportedly made healthy meals at home throughout the lockdown, which aided her husband Krushna Abhishek in losing weight. Kashmera had then revealed to ETimes TV that she would order diet food online but it became uncertain and began cooking for herself. She also said that she would wear a mask on her mouth to avoid eating unnecessarily.

10/13

Monalisa

The Nazar actress shed 7 kgs in the previous lockdown and has maintained her weight. In a video interview with ETimes TV, Monalisa said that she exclusively ate cooked healthy meals and that her diet is 70% nutrition and 30% activity. This is why she feels good about herself now.

11/13

Harsh Rajput

When the Nazar spin-off 'Kuch Toh Hai' was ready to premiere, Harsh Rajput had to give up 7kg for his role. Harsh told ETimes TV in an interview, “I am following a strict regime for this role. I am on an 80 percent protein and 20 percent carb diet and because of which I have lost 7 kgs in a month. I am also going through a rigorous workout regime where I work hard for 2 to 3 hours. I have worked really hard for this character.”

12/13

Saloni Daini

Do you recall Gangubai, aka Saloni Daini, the child comedian and actor who is now an adult and has dropped a significant amount of weight. She, too, saw the lockdown as a chance to lose weight and forewent her favorite cuisine. Saloni lost another 2-3kgs and now eats all.

13/13

Rithvik Dhanjani

Rithvik Dhanjani, the Pavitra Rishta actor, believes in being healthy and exercising regularly. Rithvik spoke in the exclusive interview with ETimes TV, “I do everything that’s possible to not put on weight. I work out at least six times a week. I take a one-day break in between. I watch what I eat. I usually depend on fasting, that's one of the things that has really helped me. I fast between 16-20 hours a day and I’ve fasted for 23 hours today. Let’s not attach the word diet to anything because then automatically in your brain you are restricting yourself that these are the things you should not eat. That’s not a healthy way to live and you are not going to sustain it for a long time. It’s much better to enjoy your food and maybe if you pad it up with fasting then in your eating window, you eat the things you like. Not eating the foods you like is not healthy.”
