's Jugadu Kamlesh won hearts of the judges when he floated the idea of a pesticide sprayer cart on the show. Kamlesh, who hails from
Malegaon
, earned himself a deal of Rs 10 lakh from
Peyush Bansal
.
In his recent interview with a news channel, Kamlesh opened up about his struggles and how his passion for innovation dimmed his chances of marriage.
He said, "When talks were on for my marriage, I had to explain to people what work I do. I didn't have an answer back then. People used to laugh at me when I'd tell them that I innovate. But my wife-to-be had said 'yes'. However, people questioned her for marrying a farmer and what he will achieve in his life."
Kamlesh added, "When someone makes a name for himself, everyone praises him. But when he is pursuing his passion and needs people the most, that's when he finds himself alone. In such situations even if one person tells him that he will succeed, then he gets the confidence and strength."
The journey hasn't been easy for Kamlesh. After his farmer father's struggles with spraying pesticides, he built a multi-purpose spraying cart for sowing, ploughing, and watering the fields.
Since the project is being supervised by Peyush now, he gave an update on where things stand with Kamlesh in his Instagram post last month.
He wrote, "Everyone I meet these days has one question….what is the update on Kamlesh from @sharktank.india? While I don’t believe in talking about things till we achieve something, because of popular demand…here is a quick update… We have initiated a process of design and consumer validation of the cart with help of a team of professional Industrial designers. The Design Team visited Malegaon and nearby farms, spent time with different farmers and different crops, along with @jugaadu_kamlesh, Naru and took a lot of feedback."
