Food Delivery Apps Swiggy and Zomato's rivalry appears to have peaked, with the upcoming season of Shark Tank India serving as their battleground. According to Moneycontrol, Swiggy is close to concluding a deal for the fourth season of Shark Tank India, but there is one caveat before signing the contract.

Swiggy is reportedly negotiating a sponsorship deal for the next season of Shark Tank India around ₹40-60 crore. However, as part of the arrangement, Deepinder Goyal, the founder and CEO of competing startup Zomato, is not allowed to return to the show as an investor. According to the article, Swiggy's attempt to stop Zomato from appearing on the show highlights the rivalry between the two food and grocery delivery companies. It further states that, while they were initially evenly matched, Zomato has increased the distance in subsequent years by grabbing the lead.

In a recent conversation at an awards forum, he said, "The startup culture of India is too much about showmanship. I went there to set a different narrative, be real and change how people perceive. I felt a moral obligation to go there. I shot for one weekend and gave my perspective. I, unfortunately, can’t go back because Swiggy sponsored Shark Tank and kicked me out, at least that’s what I heard.”
