In the latest episode of Shark Tank India 4, Dhruv Kohli, founder of Boba Bhai, pitched his GenZ-focused food brand. Launched in October 2023, Boba Bhai offers a unique blend of classic bubble tea flavors with an Indian twist, along with Korean-style burgers infused with local flavors.
His ask is Rs 50 lakh for 0.3%, with a valuation of Rs 166 crore. Namita Thapar says, “main shock hogayi aapka valuation dekh ke.”
Kunal says he has already invested and he is out of the pitch. Namita and Aman keep questioning him, ‘what was the evaluation and should we invest’. Kunal tells them to ask all the questions to Boba Bhai.
The Sharks show a lot of interest in the boba drinks but their burgers face flak from Anupam Mittal. He is unable to take a bite as it is too spicy.
Aman shares that Korean food is meant to be spicy but they are nothing remarkable. Viraj Bahl also shared how he introduced several noodles and the Korean noodles are a bit hit. He says, "Korean food with high spice is becoming mainstream. Spice is becoming trendy among gen-Z."
Anupam calls K-food a fad and says, "If you want it so spicy then keep biting on chillies. My daughter though loves this drink."
The founder also introduces his range of ice-creams to balance the spice.
Several negotiations take place regarding his vision and branding.
Namita and Viraj together make an offer: Rs 90 lakh for 1% equity + 0.5% royalty until Rs 45 lakh is recouped. Dhruv makes a counter offer of Rs 1.2 cr for 1% equity. Namita and Viraj make a revised offer of Rs 90 lakh for 1% equity. Dhruv agrees to their offer.

Kunal finally returns once Dhruv leaves. Kunal tells the Sharks that Dhruv is a very hardworking founder and driven.
