Sharing screen space with Vikrant Massey was an absolute masterclass: Heital Puniwala
Actor Heital Puniwala, known for films like Oh My God, PK and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, is now part of White, a film inspired by spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.
“White is an intense title but a unique subject,” Heital says. “I’ve been following Gurudev for 17 years. When this project came to me, I knew it was special. The script is fresh and touches the soul. My role felt tailor-made. I’m the only one bringing laughs in the film — pure joy amid intensity. Saying yes was effortless.”
On working with Vikrant Massey, he says, “It was really nice working with Vikrant. He’s a gem and extremely talented. Vikrant brings effortless authenticity to every role. Sharing screen space with Vikrant in White was an absolute masterclass. His dedication, subtle nuances, and preparation inspired me every day. Off-screen too, he’s warm and humble.”
Speaking about his character, Heital adds, “I play a comic character who takes care of Gurudev and lightens intense moments. It’s very similar to my real life. I’m always the one cracking jokes and lifting spirits, so it flowed naturally.”
The film, he says, changed him. “White felt like a spiritual journey. It taught me surrender. Acting is not about doing more, it’s about being truthful and present. Preparation felt like meditation. It demanded extreme emotional vulnerability. I had to drop all filters. I spent time in silence and trusted whatever emotion came up. It made me more fearless as an artist. I believe White will reveal a calmer, more grounded version of me,” he concludes.
