Sharad Malhotra and his wife, fashion designer Ripci Bhatia, have welcomed Bappa home with love and joy as they celebrate their 13th year of Ganesh Chaturthi together. The couple spent the past few days preparing with great excitement — finalising the menu, choosing the colour palette and theme for this year’s decorations, and making the guest list. Sharad’s current web series Galat is also getting a lot of love from fans, making this festive season even more special for the actor.Talking about his faith in Ganpati, Sharad shared, “My karma bhoomi is Maharashtra. Since the time I came to Mumbai to chase my dreams, I have always felt a very special connection with Bappa. Now Ripci too waits eagerly for this festival every year. We bring Bappa home for three days, and for both of us, it is the most divine, positive, and beautiful time of the year. In fact, this is also the festival that marks the start of the festive season in India.

Sharad also revealed a fun side to his celebration. He said, “During Ganpati, I try to take a break from my strict diet routine and enjoy my favourite motichoor ladoos. Ripci and I make sure we invite our family and friends so we can celebrate with lots of joy and togetherness.”
Speaking about what makes the festival so unique, Sharad added, “The best part about Ganesh Chaturthi is the energy and vibrancy that Bappa brings.
The whole city feels different. Whether it’s the grand Maha Aarti, the fragrance of flowers and incense in the air, or the beats of the dhol-taasha welcoming Bappa, it all changes the vibe of Mumbai completely.”Sharad Malhotra is one of the most popular faces in the television and film industry. With each new role, Sharad continues to expand his journey as an actor. Recently, he was seen in Vikram Bhatt’s micro-series Galat, where he took on a bold character that fans loved. Opening up about his role, he said, “Bold content doesn’t need to be cheap or vulgar. It can be bold and still classy, depending on how the director shows it. With Vikram sir leading the project, I had no doubts at all. My character Dev Kapoor is completely different from anything I have played before, and that challenge made it exciting for me.”Speaking about his salt-and-pepper look in the series, Sharad said, “At first, I was a little unsure about how people would react to it, but thankfully the response has been very positive. Fans really loved it, and they are already waiting for Season 2.”
