Shaleen Malhotra refuses to play Betaal

Sinhasan Battisi will soon be introducing the Vikram-Betaal subplot, and we have heard that actor Shaleen Malhotra was approached to play the role of Betaal.
We spoke to Shaleen, who told us, “I was approached for the role of Betaal but I declined the offer.”

Dheeraj Kumar, the producer of the show, tells us, “We will be showing the Vikram-Betaal track on the show.The character of Betaal has been shown as a devil in earlier TV shows, but nobody has explored the reason behind him turning into a devil. He was a positive character, who turned grey and eventually, turned negative. We will be exploring this transition and it will be a lovable character. The casting for the same is on.”
