On Eid-e-Milad, celebrated today, 5th September, actor Sehban Azim, known for his memorable roles in popular TV series like Dill Mill Gayye, Bepannaah, Tujhse Hai Raabta, Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Humsafars, Thapki Pyar Ki, and Spy Bahu, shared a heartfelt message about the significance of the day and the true way to honor it.Quoting Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Sehban begins, “The best among you are those who have the best manners and character.” He explains, “Milad-un-Nabi is a significant Islamic date that commemorates the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). While the observance of Milad was introduced later in Islamic history and there is nothing in the Quran stating that we must celebrate the Prophet’s birthday, the day still serves as a beautiful reminder of his life, teachings, and his timeless message of peace.Sehban stresses that the Prophet himself lived humbly and never instructed followers to celebrate his birthday in grandeur. “Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) always promoted a simple way of living. The only righteous way to celebrate this day is through prayers, charity, and good deeds,” he says. The actor believes that Eid-e-Milad should inspire everyone to reflect on the values of compassion and kindness. “Because it’s our beloved Prophet’s birthday, it surely comes as a reminder of his message. It’s a testament to the power of kindness, patience, and compassion. May the teachings of the Prophet continue to inspire you to walk the path of utmost humility, truth, and kindness,” he adds.Through his words, Sehban emphasizes that true celebration is not in rituals or extravagance but in living a life guided by the Prophet’s principles — a life of gratitude, service, and peace.
