Seema speaks her mind

Seema is currently doing Rajan Shahi���s Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai on TV, where she plays mother to two boys.���It���s not just another mother���s role,��� she clarifies. ���I play Vasundhara Rajvansh, a strong personality. It���s a powerful role and that���s why I took it up.��� In Air Hostess, another show on TV, she plays a dominating character.
The world of television has changed over the years, observes Seema, who���s been around for a long time now. She played memorable roles in serials like Kurukshetra, Kismat, Hasratein etc.
Ask her to compare the TV scenario then and now and she���s forthright: ���There are pros and cons for both. Earlier the emphasis was a lot on the script, we worked hard on it. Now, everyone���s in a hurry to finish things. They are all in super speed. Of course, production and other technical aspects are far better today compared to earlier.��� Another aspect she points out is ���There was always a lot of respect for seniors and willingness to help the newer lot. But that���s changed now. Guess today���s generation has changed.���
Seema tied the knot with interior designer Amit Joshua two years ago. Amit was aspiring to be an actor at one point, but now he���s set with his work. So would he give acting another shot? ���I don���t think so,��� she laughs adding, ���May be if the role offered to him is too good to refuse.���
