Satyaa Sachee actress Aanandita Sahoo talks about her childhood dream of becoming an actor; says ‘I remember spending hours in front of the mirror’
Some dreams begin quietly—shaped in childhood, nurtured in imagination, and carried in the heart until the world finally makes space for them. For Aanandita Sahoo, who plays Satyaa in Satyaa Sachee, acting wasn’t a sudden choice but a passion that found her long before she found the profession. What began as innocent imitation in front of the mirror has now transformed into a meaningful career on television.
Speaking about this beautiful journey, Aanandita shares, “Ever since I was a child, I dreamed of becoming an actor. I never imagined that one day I would actually pursue it, or whether my family would even support me. But deep inside, I always had this passion.” She recalls how she would get lost in her little creative world. “I remember spending hours in front of the mirror, watching TV shows and imitating the actors I admired. Whenever I saw someone’s performance that inspired me, I would try to recreate it, feel their emotions, and express them in my own little way. Acting was like a secret world where I could be anyone, and it fascinated me endlessly.”
But like many children with big dreams, she faced the common push toward academics. “Growing up, my parents and everyone at home constantly asked me to focus on my studies. ‘Study, study, study!’ was all I heard,” she laughs. At that time, she never imagined she would actually enter the world of television. Yet her childhood passion refused to fade. Step by step, opportunity by opportunity, her dream began taking shape.
“Today, when I look back, I realise those quiet moments in front of the mirror and my little dreams shaped the path I am walking on. Acting is no longer just a dream—it’s my life, my joy, and my way of expressing myself.”
The show is about a moving story of two inseparable sisters from a small village, Satyaa, fierce and courageous, and Sachee, gentle and selfless. Their relationship is a deep-rooted bond of loyalty, love and unspoken promises. No matter what life brings, they stand by each other, proving that some connections are built not just by birth, but by heart.
Through her performance in the show, Aanandita brings her childhood passion full circle by transforming early dreams into a heartfelt portrayal that resonates with viewers.
