Actress Jyothsna Channdola Singh, who is better known as
Khushi in Sasural Simar Ka, has been blessed with a baby boy. She delivered on June 26. She tied the knot with director Nitesh Singh in 2015. The couple has nick-named Joni (a short form of their names).
The new mother tells us, “I am on cloud nine. The feeling is indescribable. Both of us are fine. Another interesting coincidence is that he is born in June like my father.”
She adds, “Since I conceived Joni during the pandemic, I obviously couldn’t do regular things that a pregnant woman does.
I wanted to host a baby shower and wanted my family to be around me when the baby was born, which wasn’t possible given the current situation. Having said that, health is most important. I stayed positive by meditating, listening to positive notes and music. I also studied about hypnobirthing, which helped me a lot during my delivery.”
The actress was extremely close to her father, who passed away in November 2020. In a previous interview, she had told us, “A lot has happened in the last year-and-a-half. My father was diagnosed with grade four brain cancer in September 2019 and we were told that he didn’t have much time. He left us on November 17, 2020. I was shattered, as I was extremely close to my dad.”
Jyothsna believes that her father has returned to their lives. She says, “I was calm throughout my pregnancy and I guess he was my guiding star. My papa was giving me strength. I feel that he is back in our lives.”
