Sarika Nawathe opts out of Maati Se Bandhi Dor; Anita Kulkarni steps in

Actress Sarika Nawathe, who was playing the role of Vasundhara, the village sarpanch and actor Ankit Gupta's mother in the show Maati Se Bandhi Dor has opted out of the show. The actress, who had a strong role and was a part of the show since May 2024, shared how she has opted out due to purely personal reasons.

Sarika said, "I quit the show for purely personal reasons. This is solely my decision to take a break and has got nothing to do with any person or entity. This is the only reason why I need to take a short break at a time when the show was taking a time leap. There is no other reason and I enjoyed working with the entire team. It was a good role and I enjoyed essaying the role of Vasundhara."

The show Maati has taken a leap and actress Anita Kulkarni, who was last seen in the TV show Teri Meri Dooriyaan is now playing the role of Vasundhara in the show.

After the leap, Ankita Gupta's character has a son Vayu and stays with his former wife Jaya (Resham Prashant) in the house and his current wife Vyju (Rutuja Bagwe) lives with her daughter Vaani in another town. The two are now separated and it will unfold in the upcoming episodes how fate will again bring them together. Gaurav Mukesh, who played the antagonist in the show is back in the house after the leap. The show revolves around Rannvijay (Ankit Gupta) and his wife Vyju and Jaya and how the two sisters fall in love with the same man.
