Sanket Bhosale reveals Varun Dhawan suggested his name for The Kapil Sharma Show; calls Kapil the most secure comedian
Sanket Bhosale, who is known for his impeccable mimicry skills and has featured in various comedy shows, recently revealed on Paras Chhabra's Podcast how he landed a chance on The Kapil Sharma Show. During his conversation with Paras, Sanket shared that it was Varun Dhawan, who suggested his name for the comedy show.
Speaking about the incident, Sanket shared, "The Kapil Sharma Show happened to me because of Varun Dhawan. He had come to my show 'Baba Ki Chowki', he went crazy after watching me mimic Sanju Baba and other mimicry. He told me you should come on the Kapil show, “Aapko aana chahiye, I’ll tell him (Kapil).” I was like okay, I felt how actors usually say a lot of things, he is also praising. There were many actors who had said many big things but it always doesn’t happen. I thanked him and just told him, yaa I will come on the show. Maine haami bhar di hum talk show host aise hi toh hote hain. But Varun seriously went and told people at The Kapil Sharma Show."
Sanket further shared his experience of performing on The Kapil Sharma Show, "I went for the show and everyone was like what will he do on the show? I experienced a lot of things in that short span of time. I enjoyed it there, and I feel when you enjoy while performing the act that’s when the audience's also enjoy. If you are sad, cribbing and complaining from inside, you will give the same vibe," he said.
Sanket was all praise for Kapil and called him the most secure comedian, "That show is so blessed and Kapil bhai is very supportive. Normally, comedians are not like him. Maximum comedians are very insecure, they feel Arre isne zyaada hasaa diya toh but Kapil Sharma is the only comedian who will bring you ahead and give the stage. I’m telling you this because I’ve experienced this. My act in the episode was over and Sidhu paaji was sitting there, he was very happy with the act. So Kapil bhai called me on stage and I was backstage. Mujhe laga kya kuch galat hogaya, Remo sir, Terence sir, Vaibhavi ma’am were sitting there as guests. I came back on the stage in my character and he asked me to come out of the character. Then he told everyone about my background that I’m a doctor and while I was leaving, he asked me to touch Sidhu paaji’s feet out of respect. This is called following our culture, which I found common between both of us. I also do it automatically," he concluded.
Sanket has showcased his talent in numerous comedy shows over the years, including The Drama Company, Baba Ki Chowki, Case Toh Banta Hai, Gangs of Filmistaan, and Super Night With Tubelight, among others.
