Sameer Nair to Indianise Prison Break?
Sameer Nair, who had stepped down as the CEO of a channel a year before its abrupt shutdown in April, 2012, is back after a long gap. Sources say he will produce a show that’s an adaptation of the popular international series, Prison Break.
The American TV series revolves around two brothers — one has been sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit, while the other devises an elaborate plan to help his brother escape from the prison. Shailaja Kejriwal, Sameer’s colleague from Imagine TV, will co-produce the show.
Informs a source, "The show has been pitched to Life Ok. The dialogues of the same will be penned by Raghuvir Shekhawat of Balika Vadhu fame." While Sameer didn't revert to our text message, Ajit Thakur — General Manager Life OK — refused the news.
