Salman Khan claims he never met Ashneer Grover before; here's how the Bollywood actor called out the business entrepreneur for his 'doglapan'

The Bigg Boss 18 Weekend Ka Vaar episode turned intense as Salman Khan confronted Ashneer Grover over past comments. The candid conversation revolved around Ashneer’s claims about hiring Salman as a brand ambassador, leading to a sharp exchange of words on the stage.

As Ashneer entered, Salman opened with: “You are known for your dialogue ‘doglapan.’” Ashneer replied confidently, “Reputation toh waisa bann gaya hai.” Salman immediately hinted at the misrepresentation in Ashneer’s statements.

Salman brought up Ashneer’s podcast remark, saying, “Mere baare me kehte huye suna hai…aapse kabhi mulaqat hui nahi.” Ashneer responded, “There was an agency involved,” but Salman refuted, “There was no agency involved. Mere log involved the. They don’t talk like this. You spoke saying that you have signed me. Sab figures bhi aapne galat bataye. Toh phir yeh doglapan kya hai?”

Ashneer insisted, “Dogalapan nahi hai,” but Salman pushed back: “Dogalapan hi hua na… we didn’t even meet before.” Ashneer clarified, “No Sir, we had a meeting,” but Salman corrected him: “No, not with you. There was a team. Aap bhi shayad honge wahan par. But aapke saath aisi koi baatein hui nahin meri. Dogalapan hi hua na…because this conversation…we didn’t even meet before.”

Salman urged Ashneer to clarify his claims: “Yes, you should clarify because all these that you said, which I happened to see by chance, the impression that was put across that you fooled me and signed me wo toh galat hi hai na?”Ashneer replied, “Signing you was one of the smartest moves.” Salman asserted, “Jis jis ne mujhe brand ambassador sign kiya hai, unn sab ka faida hi hua hai. Nuksaan bilkul nahi hua hai.”

Salman remarked, “Yeh attitude jo ab hai, tab video me nahi tha.” Ashneer explained it as misinterpretation. Salman quipped that his current attitude seemed fine and advised, “I don’t mind this. Mujhe inn sasb cheezon se bura nahi lagta hai. It’s just that when you give a wrong impression about someone, that’s not right. Later on, it will bite you itself. I heard just now that you are coming. I didn’t even know your name. When I saw that video, that’s when I saw your face. You should be careful about how you present yourself even when we are not there.”

Ashneer goes on to apologise to Salman and the actor says, “I just saw that video and thought, who is this man, what is he talking about, why is he saying all this. Aap TV pe ho toh aap hero bann ke re-establish karna chahte ho but then you come face-to-face and all the truth is out. Wahan pe aap kaafi swag se baat kar rahe the. Aapne tareef bhi ki thi. Kabhi kabhi overconfidence me ho jaata hai. It’s a good learning but it’s good to meet you. Ab jo mulaqat hui hai, uska kya kahenge aap?” Ashneer replies, “Ab shaant rahunga.”

Ashneer shared an interesting anecdote during his visit to a college, where he discussed his decision to choose Salman Khan as the brand ambassador for a campaign. He revealed that he had ₹100 crore in the bank and was determined to build a business with it. Ashneer confirmed that he specifically wanted Salman Khan to represent the brand. Initially, Salman’s manager quoted ₹7.5 crore for the deal, but to Ashneer’s surprise, the superstar agreed to do it for ₹4.5 crore. Reflecting on the negotiation, Ashneer shared a humorous remark from Salman’s manager, who said, “Sir, aap bhindi kharidne aaye ho kya? Kitni mandawali karoge?” (Sir, are you here to buy vegetables? How much will you negotiate?).
