Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly REACTS to Fawad Khan calling India's Operation Sindoor 'Shameful'; says 'You working in Indian films was also...'
Amidst the rising Indo-Pak tension, Fawad Khan's post calling India's Operation Sindoor a "shameful attack" is facing heavy criticism. The actor has been slammed by netizens for his statement. Anupamaa actress Rupali Ganguly has also reacted to his post.
In response to Fawad's remarks, Rupali expressed her views on X (previously Twitter), saying, “You working in Indian films was also 'shameful' for us."
Her comment sparked a wave of responses across social media, with numerous users backing her opinion and criticizing the Pakistani actor.
Fawad Khan, who has worked in Bollywood films like Kapoor & Sons and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, took to Instagram on Wednesday to react to the loss of lives in Pakistan after the recent attack.
His post read, "My deepest condolences to the families of those injured and killed in this shameful attack. I pray for the souls of the deceased and strength for their loved ones in the days to come. A respectful request to all: stop stoking the flames with rabble-rousing words. It is not worth the lives of innocent people. May better sense prevail. InshaAllah. Pakistan Zindabad."
Although Fawad’s Instagram account is reportedly blocked in India, images of his post have circulated widely, igniting backlash across various social media platforms.
Other Pakistani celebrities like Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir, and Sajal Aly are also getting criticised for calling India's act 'cowardly'. On the work front, Rupali is best known for her role in Anupamaa. Several other stars like Hina Khan, Aly Goni, Avinash Mishra and others have reacted to the India- Pakistan conflict.
