Veteran actress Sulochana Latkar passed away on June 4 due to respiratory issues. The actress breathed her last at Sushrusa Hospital, Dadar. Sulochana Latkar was known for her motherly roles and appeared in over 250 Marathi films as well as numerous Hindi films.

From PM Narendra Modi to numerous stalwarts from the Film Fraternity expressed grief on the demise of the noted actress. Now, Anupamaa's Rupali Ganguly also shared an emotional note on her Instagram story for Sulochana. She wrote, "Sulochana ji what an era!! Have grown up watching Molkarin, Sadhi Manse, Ekatee and Ek Daav Bhutacha. Om Shanti. Condolences to the family and friends."

Na Umra Ki Seema Ho actress Sneha Wagh also wrote, "#Sulochana didi was one of the finest actresses of the Indian Cinema who not just ruled the screen but also our hearts with her heartwarming performances. May her soul Rest in Peace"

Sulochana's funeral is being held today (June 5). Actors from the Film Fraternity to Maharashtra's Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and MNS chief Raj Thackrey reached her residence to pay their last respects. Her mortal remains were brought today morning to her residence for the funeral. The funeral is to be held at Shivaji Park, Dadar.

PM Narendra Modi tweeted, "The passing of Sulochana Ji leaves a big void in the world of Indian cinema. Her unforgettable performances have enriched our culture and have endeared her to people across generations. Her cinematic legacy will live on through her works. Condolences to her family. Om Shanti."
