Actor Rumi Khan is celebrating the holy month of Ramadan by keeping a fast. He says, "Every year, as the blessed month of Ramadan draws near, I always feel joyous, and I look forward to observing these fasts."

Rumi, who was last seen in TV show, Alibaba: Dastaan-E-Kabul, says he feels more responsible during this month. He shares, "My family isn't here in Mumbai with me. They are in my hometown, Indore. I do talk to them daily and make them my support to succeed in my fasting with their blessings. But I need to manage everything by myself. I plan a healthy diet for myself and make sure to rest enough. I also make sure that my work doesn't suffer. Rest I'm sure that God helps their followers. You need to be clean at heart, filled with devotion and charity."

He adds, "I prepare iftari for myself and if I'm not too busy, I make sure to invite my friends to join me. Afterall festivals are always about sharing love."

Rumi has previously acted in shows like Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Uttaran, Mahabharat and Ishq Ka Rang Safed among others. Recentlt he was also part of the film Pathaan. In an earlier interview he shared about his experience of working with SRK. He said, "I'm happy that I got a chance to work with Shah Rukh Khan sir. Working with him was a dream come true. It was experience of a lifetime to shoot with him for the film. He says one of his popular dialogues in a scene with me and that was the best screen time for me in the movie."
